Paris

Day 8

Reflections on our Paris trip 2018 -

The Parisians are very friendly, helpful and polite. We never had an experience with someone being rude.

The city is really beautiful if not the most beautiful city in the world. The tree lined streets make it not only beautiful but, healthy too.

Paris has not forgotten its history. There are many museums, buildings, monuments, and dedicated areas. All with class! Our buildings and history are hundreds years old and their buildings and history are thousands of years old.

If you ask for help Parisians will go out of their way to assist you even though some do not speak English. Example – we asked a stranger on which train track (there are 29 tracks) the train will be leaving for Normandy and with hand gestures he helped us and walked us to the train.

We asked a waitress to take a picture of us and she said “oui”. Let’s also take a selfie of our team with a big smile.

It is so easy to take the Metro or the bus. Great signs and always a digital clock, which tells you the time the next bus or Metro, will arrive.

The French baguette is the best in the world. Pate and cheeses cannot be far behind.

We were never pushed to finish our meals just like Italy you have to ask for your bill.

They believe in a leisurely meal.

Nobody wears a hat.

No baggy pants and most have pencil pants.

Before we traveled to Paris we thought we would really like the city but after a few days we LOVE the city and will be back next year.

Years ago we hated the Paris airport but the last few years they have really improved. This time it was the most efficient big airport we have used.
