At 7:30 am we took a taxi to Charles de Gaulle Airport. This taxi driver was very good. He squeezed into every open spot. Trip took 45 minutes which is fast -normally over an hour.

Easy check in and then the fun began at border patrol. Waited in line for one hour and 30 minutes. The self-check lanes were not working so everyone was in a very long line and had to spend time talking to the border police where they verifiy who you are - and then they stamp your passport. Then they scanned carry-on luggage – quick only 5 minutes – wow. Plane was on time to JFK.

Thinking of the experience in Paris we were not expecting much as our customs check in Atlanta (in September) was a disaster – well over an hour and we had Global Entry. Some in regular lines are still there.

The JFK customs system was organized, fast and very efficient. We will enter the U.S. at JFK in the future if we have that option. A most impressive operation.

Four-hour layover in JFK and we used the Delta Club which made everything enjoyable and relaxing.

Easy flight to Pittsburgh and on time. Thank to Cris and Marylove for picking us up. That really helped.

Thank for Teresa who monitors our website and keeps us in line.

Thanks to AAA  and Jeremie Nath for helping with flight planning and dealing with flight changes.
