This morning we feel rested and miss the dogs. 45 degrees outside but, we are ready.  The temperature today will be in the middle 50's and sunny.

Our basket came at 8:00am. Eggs, meat, cheese, freshly squeezed orange juice, baguette, 2 croissants, coffee, yogurt, jam, and butter.

We walked to Notre Dame which was a 45-minute walk.  It will be opened to the public next month. We were here in April 15, 2019 when the fire started. Our phone and computer blew up with so many messages and emails asking if we could see the fire. We could not, but the next morning we walked over and saw the damage. Sad! Hard to believe it will be open in December with so much going on. As we said then and now “we did not start the fire”. They have done an amazing job restoring it with complete historical accuracy.

We came across Mémorial des Martyrs de la Déportation (Martyrs Memorial of Deportation). It was closed on Mondays so we will come back.

Dinner at A la Biche au Bois. We eat there every year – at least twice. We know the staff and they gave us a big hug. Yes Betsy, we both ordered the Coq au Vin.
