Sei settembre Domenica ( September 6 Sunday)

Spent the morning doing the website as I had a lot of pictures. We are planning to meet friends from British Columbia.* Easy to connect on WIFI but, not so using the phones. Eventually we solved the problem and they are driving to our place. We connected and then went to Trattoria Dell'Orto for lunch.  Abbiamo mangiato i cibi buoni e abbiamo bevuto il vino rosso della casa (We ate good food and drank the red wine of the house). Dow and I had the appetizer that we had before - polpo (octopus) because it was so good. Then Dow had some cold sliced swordfish and I had pasta. Gail had the polpo and Dave had a combination of fried chicken, rabbit and eggplant.

After lunch we walked to the center of Florence and "showed" Gail and Dave around as we just done the "tour" yesterday. We had a good time sharing a day with friends. Took a gelato break and then headed home. Gail and Dave then drove back to their place. Fun visit!

*Small world story - met them briefly years ago in BC at the wedding of the daughter of mutual friends. (Our good friends over 20 summers of tennis at Gray Rocks in the Laurentians.) When they heard we were from Rochester NY they mentioned that they knew one person, named Gus,  from Rochester.  Dow responded - I went to HS with Gus and know him well!  Hence the Gray Rocks/Pittsburgh/Rochester/Canada and now Italy connection!
