Nove settembre mercoledì ( September 9 Wednesday)

Another wonderful cool evening enjoying sleeping with the windows wide open. In the morning ho scritto nel blog, Dow ha letto il suo libro. (I wrote in the blog. Dow read her book.) Then we walked the wall and the people returned. How did they know the paving was done?

Abbiamo mangiato alla tana del boia. (We ate at the lair of the Executioner) Sounds bad but, it is a little sandwich shop in the middle of Lucca with great sandwiches.

Abbiamo camminato al supermercato. (We walked to the supermarket) It has Great Eagle beat! Photos on our next visit.

For dinner we went to Da Pasquale but, the reservation was for Thursday - Oops wrong day. So the owner gave us each a glass of very expensive prosecco. So good. Off to find another restaurant and we choose Giglio, which we had been to in the past. Excellent meal. Dow ha preso  salmone marinato panna acida e rucola e Roberto ha preso  tartre di vitello tonnato e bottarga. (Dow had marinated salmon with sour cream and rocket and Robert had veal with tuna sauce tartare and fish eggs). Secondo, Dow ha preso  branzino alla griglia and Roberto ha preso tagliatelle al ragu di frattaglie di coniglio. (Dow had grilled sea bass and Robert had fresh pasta with rabbit sauce)

Good day and limoncello on our patio to end it. Buona notte
