We have contracted a company to take down 2 big trees . So they came as we were leaving plus we also are having our house painted. A little confusion but, both companies are excellent so everything is good. Carol to  arrive soon to take care of Geno and the house!

Mary Love drove us to the airport. We had uploaded our documents to the Fly Delta App the day before so checking in was a breeze.

1.     Boarding passes downloaded to iPhone from Delta

2.     Vaccination data uploaded to Delta

3.     Passenger Locator Forms for Europe downloaded and filled out on phone and uploaded

4.     Uploaded passports

All our data was in the system. Fly Delta is a great app. It sends  messages alerting you to  boarding, tracks your bag and flight data. Love the technology. The only way to fly is to have all your data on your phone.

Flight to Boston was 15 minutes late due to a passenger seat issue but, the pilot put the “pedal to the medal” and we were on time to Boston. A six hour layover but a visit to

Legal Seafood in the airport cured that – excellent clam chowder and the lobster rolls are not to be missed. It makes me miss my childhood in New England.

The flight to Paris on a huge plane so you would hardly know you are flying. It was on time and a smooth trip and food was ok. It's airline food.

Fast train to Strasbourg. Tony & Janni has purchased the tickets there and sent them to us by phone a week ago. The trip is 310 miles in less than an hour and 45 minutes. Beautiful scenery, golden fields of rapeseed, on the trip. Tony met us at the train station. He had a baguette, wine and cheeses waiting for us at their apartment. What a beautiful setting and layout. Janni was working so she joined us for dinner which Tony made. Out on the patio, Normandy oysters with shallot sauce first. Then delicious roasted chicken with porcini mushroom sauce and  roasted potatoes. A side of white asparagus – one of our favorites. What a welcome to Strasbourg!
