Again, we had our wonderful breakfast. We had planned on doing the boat tour on the Seine today, but it is a little chilly so we decided to go to the Marché Bastille – one of the biggest outdoor markets in Paris. So many great foods. It will not warm up until tomorrow so we plan on doing the boat ride then – maybe.

Walked to Le Bistrot du Peintre on Rue Ledru Rollin. Tree shaded street. Paris is so green with trees lining every street.

We made a reservation for Friday and each had a negroni. Stopped in a few shops and Dow bought some bunny candles (on sale).

We withdrew some euros because the euro is now as low (vs dollar) as we have seen in 14 years -to use in Italy this September.

We went to A La Biche Au Bois for a second time this trip. When we arrive in Paris the first thing we do is make reservations there.  They certainly know how to make one feel happy. The service is exceptional. We both had egg appetizer. Dow had Les oeufs pochés au goût du jour (Poached eggs in style of the day) and I had les oeufs durs mayonnaise (eggs with mayonnaise) - with a great mustard taste. We decided to order the steak for two with fries. The fries are according to the attached review, are some of the best in Paris.  Too much food but, we can always “take away” (as they say in France) since we have a tiny refrigerator. Full, so took very little from cheese tray. I had crème brûlée and Dow had sorbet (all made it house). Chatted with 3 people (from Brazil) next to us. They spoke excellent English and next they were going to New York.
