For breakfast they leave a basket at your door around 8:00am. It is filled with lots of goodies -baguette, croissants, cheese, meats, yogurt, freshly squeezed orange juice, jams, fruits and coffee. What a way to start the day!
We are staying on the right bank so we crossed the Seine to the left bank and walked up to see Notre Dame. If you remember that back in 2019 it burned and we were here. I denied any part of setting the fire and I have an alibi. As of today they have temporarily stopped working after archeologists unearthed a centuries-old sarcophagus. Later we walked to the Latin Quarter. Many restaurants and narrow streets.
We walked over 5 miles, enjoying the views with every step. Weather has been good so far. Went to Saint Antoine Street where there are many shops. Bought wine, pate and looked for a
Pharmacy open on Sunday so we can get our COVID test before we leave. We have to have a negative test 24 hours before we leave. U.S. requirement to enter. France does not require a test before you enter.
Dinner at A La Biche Au Bois which is close to our B&B. The first thing we do when we come to Paris is to make reservations at this restaurant. Coq au vin is their specialty and we both ordered it. Four courses for the price 41 € is a very good.
It costs $105.00 dollars to buy 100 euros. In past years it has been around $118.00 to buy 100 euros.
