Fa bel tempo. Mi piace ascoltarlo. (Beautiful temperature. I like hearing that).
Abbiamo lavorato sul sito web. (We worked on the web site.) Poi abbiamo camminato sul muro. (Then walked the wall.) We stopped at the visitor center and picked up some material.
Just strolling around the city, we decided to have lunch at Da Umberto. The pizza had very thin crust and was very tasty. Letizia, Katia's daughter, recommended the place last year, but we had never tried it. We hope to be in touch with Katia at some point, and will give an update then.
Nella sera siamo andati all'Osteria Da Pasquale per la cena. (In the evening we went to Osteria Da Pasquale for dinner.) We have been coming to Pasquale's since 2013. We have a good relationship with him and his food is outstanding. We keep in contact with him throughout the year and made our reservations in June. We have 2 more reservations.
He is occupying a new space for his ristorante. It is in a 600 year old building next to the space he using for outside eating by his old Osteria. More room and he can create a better layout. Pasquale gave us a tour. He hopes to open in November.
We started with complementary prosecco then a glass of white wine. For the first course Dow had Warm octopus and cuttlefish with vegetables and I had Tartare of yellow fin tuna with cream of buffalo and lime.
For the second course Dow had Fresh fish of the day with vegetables and potatoes which was sea bream and I had Boneless rabbit alla pasquale.
We did have dessert. Dow had Panna cotta with a sauce of raspberries and I had semi frozen pistachio parfait with a sauce of raspberries. Normally we do not eat dessert. But when in Rome…
Three-hour dinner and we were not last to leave. Time flew by.
