Started out the day working on the site. Then met Karen and Andrea to show them Lucca. We walked part of the wall and then toured the city inside the walls. Went to shops, churches, more shops, stores and etc. Stopped for a cafe latte in the morning. The two churches we stopped at were the ones that are involved with the luminara of San Croce. San Frediano and San Martino. The Volto Santo is carried from San Frediano to San Martino. We have seen this parade, September 13, in past years but not this year.

Had lunch at Cantine Bernadini for about 2 hours at 2:00pm and then more shopping. Devi capire che sto con tre belle donne. (You have to understand I am with three beautiful ladies.) They see the city differently than I do; I am just along for the ride.

Di notte siamo andati al concerto  - ci piace la musica d'opera!  (At night we went to a concert - we like opera music!) Afterward we had an Aperol Spitz in a piazza.
