È stata una mattina pigra. (It was a lazy morning.)

Abbiamo camminato sulle mura nella mattina. (We walked the wall in the morning.) Then had a light lunch on our patio.

Katia's business partner gave us a ride to the party. The backyard was decorated for the event and as expected there was enough food to feed all of Lucca. There were about 40 people there with about 15 family, plus their friends and her friends from HS and university. We were honored to be included. We have been visiting the family for ten years.

It was a wonderful event honoring Letizia. We found out that she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Bologna. Her major was languages (Arabic, English, and German). How does one do that? She is going on for a degree in Translation at the University of Turin. We are so proud of her and from the pictures below her family is on cloud 9.
