Dovè il sole? (Where is the sun?) Piove. (It is raining.) Plan B is in order. Walk around the city but be close to shelter. While walking to the bus station to check schedules we looked up and saw this huge black cloud with rain coming our way. We found a tunnel that we went into – where they stored ammunition and supplies when the wall was built. Look at what we found – art - this was from an exhibit a few years ago. Just neat what you can stumble onto. The wall holds secrets to be discovered.
Lunedì mattina prenderemo l'autobus all'aeroporto di Pisa. (Monday morning we will take the bus to the Pisa airport.)
Abbiamo cenato al Da Pasquale – un altro ottimo pasto lì. We had dinner at Da Pasquale -another great meal there.)
Had fun talking with a young couple from Tel Aviv seated next to us. At lunch the other day we met a couple from Switzerland. The former do not like Trump, the latter said he was ok. Re crazy Italian politics - an Italian said – “what happens here doesn't affect others much – what happens in the US affects the world!”
Mostly we stay away from politics.
We have had ravioli three different ways and they were all GREAT!
1. Made with ground meats
2. Made with pear & pecorino
3. Made with pecorino and white truffles
Now in the states you will always find ravioli with ground meats or cheese but you will probably not find them with pear & pecorino or pecorino and white truffles. Sorry, you are missing this. Tomorrow we are going back to VispaTeresa for the ravioli with pear & pecorino!
