Siamo andati al concerto nella sera. (Went to the concert in the evening.) Just great as both singers put on a great performance. Being in Italy and hearing opera singers just makes you tingle all over. Breath taking!

Had our wine on the balcony for the last time this trip. Stiamo pensando al prossimo anno. (We are thinking of next year.)

Our flight from Florence to Paris was smooth and on time. The Paris to JFK flight was 15 minutes late pushing off but, it put the “metal to the pedal” and we made it on time to JFK. At JFK we went through customs with the Global  Entry Pass. Took 10 seconds to use and the line was only 20 people. The other lines had at least 400 people waiting. We probably would have missed our connection to Pittsburgh. Moral of the story - get a Global Entry Pass and you also receive TSA precheck.

One issue with JFK is that when you land in Terminal 1 after go through customs you have to go outside get on airtrain and go to another terminal which means going through security again (long lines). Not a good system whereas other airports like Atlanta you do not have to do that. We wanted to avoid the south because of the attitude there regarding the vaccine and COVID.

Your iPhone does everything - tickets, CDC pass, negative Covid test, camera, video and using it for money. We have entered the 21st century with more great things to come. I can't imagine anyone traveling overseas without a smartphone. Well, you cannot. It would be like going to the store riding your horse - long and slow.

We now are planning our trip to Paris in April and back to Italy next September for 3+ weeks.
