Il Sole splende! (The sun is shining!) Si, il sole. (Yes, the sun) Do not see any rain in the forecast . Il sole è brillante e il cielo è molto blu. (The sun is brilliant and sky is very blue.)

Abbiamo camminato le mura. (We walked the wall.). We had arranged to take  Debora (the woman who owned the rental agency we had used in the past) to lunch.. She is only doing long term rentals now but she had recommended us to the owner of our current apartment. Thankfully she has  rented to us the last few years. Lunch was at a small café, InPasta, with Debora - she is a sweetheart.

Abbiamo camminato nell'Orto Botanico di Lucca. (We walked in The Botanic Garden of Lucca. Established in 1820 it had its' 200th celebration last year. (Where was the US in 1820? Not establishing Botanic Gardens I think.) display of plants and trees from around the world. A lovely break from walking the wall and visiting churches and museums. All plants had identification markers with the  year planted. We were impressed with the maintenance and variety. Great place to relax. We also viewed an interesting display in the Greenhouse.

On the way to buy food and wine we walked by the Monumento a Luigi Boccherini and heard music  playing from students at the school who were practicing. We just sat and listened and enjoyed.
