Abbiamo lavorato sul sito web questa mattina. (We worked on the web site this morning.) Per colazione ho mangiato la pizza fredda e ho bevuto cola zero zuccheri. (For breakfast I ate cold pizza and drank coke zero.) Dow makes a smoothie (with fresh blueberries, strawberries, rasberries and a banana) which is what we drink to down our pills.

We walked, again today, below the walls exploring some tunnels. Some passage ways are closed. We had fun exploring as you never know what is around the corner – usually people. Lucca is a very safe. The one thing we forgot to do is go back where the truck was stuck and see if it is still there. Damage?

Pranzo al Trattoria Canuleia. (Lunch at Trattoria Canuleia).

Dow ha preso insalata di code di gambero con maionese al basilico (Dow had Shrimp tails salad with basil mayonnaise.) Shrimp tails sounds funny but it is normal shrimp without the head. Secondo Dow ha preso filetto di orata su crema di zucchine e verdure brasate. (Second Dow had filet of sea bream cream of zucchini and braised vegetables.) Ho preso la pappa al pomodoro, cozze e crumble di pancetta. (I had bread soup with tomato, mussels and bacon crumble.) Secondo ho preso tortelli lucchesi. (Second I had home made ravioli meat served in bolognaise sauce.) We ate outside in their beautiful garden.

There is always music somewhere in Lucca.  Earlier we had  tried to buy tickets to Filarmonicca Della Scala here, but it was sold out. Unfortunate because it started at 6:30, most major concerts start at 9:30!  There are many musical events as part of the of the celebration of the century after the death of Giacomo Puccini, who was born in Lucca.
